On 11th May 2019, Abhik Bhanu’s novel STOOL PIGEON has been awarded Best book of the year by Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation
Award 2019.  
SV (Sarayu Vision) has got the Best Director award for ‘A Nice Cute Guy’ in the Konark film festival, was his for the taking, while his short film, ‘Astitva’, on the sensitive issue of female foeticide was much appreciated at a Conference of Senior Doctors in Panchgani.  
The then Hon’ble Home Minister Mr. Shivraj Patil watched the movie and appreciated the film at a media conference. 
BE THE CHANGE‘ was awarded by PCGT (Public Concern of Government Trust. Mumbai, headed by Julio Ribeiro). Rajmohan Gandhi, Mahatma Gandhi’s grandson acted in the film.

Bhanu’s cinematic endeavors have been equally remarkable. His filmography includes notable creations such as: 1922 Pratikar Chauri Chaura, which premiered on 30th June 2023 in India and on 4th August 2023 in the USA and UK. Gun Pe Done (Released on 12th April 2019, featuring acclaimed actors: Jimmy Shergill, Tara Alisha Berry, Vijay Raj, Sanjay Mishra, Vrajesh Hirjee, and Bidita Bag) Dark Rainbow (Released on 8th August 2014, starring Sara Khan and Pramod Mautho) Sab Kuch Hai Kuch Bhi Nahin (Global release on 15th April 2005), a film deeply rooted in Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals of Gram Swarajaya. On 11th May 2019, Bhanu’s novel “Stool Pigeon” was bestowed with the prestigious title of Best Book of the Year at the Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation Awards. His directorial excellence was celebrated as well, as he clinched the Best Director accolade for A Nice Cute Guy at the Konark Film Festival. Furthermore, his impactful short film “Astitva”, which tackled the sensitive issue of female feticide, garnered commendation at a Conference of Senior Doctors in Panchgani. Notably, the film was admired by the esteemed former Home Minister, Mr. Shivraj Patil, during a media conference. Among Bhanu’s short film portfolio, the touching creation “Be The Change” was recognized by PCGT (Public Concern of Government Trust, Mumbai), presided over by Julio Ribeiro. The film notably featured Rajmohan Gandhi, the esteemed grandson of Mahatma Gandhi. A distinguished alumnus, Bhanu holds a post-graduate degree from Symbiosis College Pune and completed an internship at the esteemed Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. His academic journey includes graduation from Allahabad University, Allahabad. Upcoming endeavors by Abhik Bhanu encompass projects like XPG, HONCHO, Lutyens Delhi (web series), ABCC (web series), Ringmaster, X TOKIYO, and a myriad of others.
